Clap hands, stamp your feet. The Strictly Come Dancing Dance Relay has taken flight.

George & Alexis opened the show, for the first time, with a deliberate & sharp Phantom Argentine Tango. Lord Lloyd Webber sent a message.

Follow that. A Sweet Charity samba, for Karen & Carlos. Interesting costumes. Colourful. Lots of flying fringe. Headbands. Streamers. Maybe the dance wasn’t perfect, but the spins were, and there was a lot going on.

The next quarter-finalists, with a Viennese Waltz to a song by The Greatest Showman, it’s Balvinder & Julian. Epic. Emotional.

Amber & Nikita follow George & Bal eating birthday cake, with a Charleston. The judges have never seen anything like it. No surprise, their score is perfect too.

So that leaves Lewis & Katya to close the show. West Side Story. A salsa. More is more. Bonus points if it’s pink.

Oh, and a Bear. Paddington Bear.
