We are pleased to announce that two artists from The Australian Ballet will join the ranks as Bloch Ambassadors in 2014. Juliet Burnett and Daniel Gaudiello will be the Australian contingent in an international line-up of Bloch elite, including Polina Semionova and Sarah Lamb.* Bloch is excited to work with Juliet and Daniel, who inspire audiences and young dancers around the world.

Juliet joined The Australian Ballet in 2003 and was plucked from the rank of coryphée in 2008 to create the title role in Matjash Mrozewski’s Semele. In 2011 she became a senior artist and fulfilled a lifelong dream to dance her namesake role in Graeme Murphy’s Romeo and Juliet. Juliet says: “From my first pair of ballet flats at age five, to my first pair of pointe shoes at age 12 to my customised pointe shoes today, Bloch have quite literally kept me on my toes for all of my dancing years! It’s an honour to be an ambassador for Bloch’s tradition and future.”

Daniel began his dance journey at six years old, at the Johnny Young Talent School in Brisbane. He joined The Australian Ballet in 2004 and was promoted to principal artist in 2010. He has participated in classes with some of the world’s finest ballet companies in London, Amsterdam, Munich and Paris. Daniel made his choreographic debut in Notte in Bianco for Bodytorque in 2009. Gaudiello says: “I’ve long held a great respect for Bloch and consider the company to be the leader in dancewear, so I’m extremely excited to be a Bloch Ambassador in 2014 and to support this iconic Australian brand.”
